| Well First We Need To Decide How General The Classes Will Be?
I Don't Really Think We Need to Worry About a Stock or Mod Class, Most People Aren't Here to keep there boat Stock, and theres no good way to prove it on Vid.
1: Do You Want the Classes to be RTR Only Or Engine Size and Hull Design Like 18 Hydro 18 Mono 18 Cat etc...
2: GPS Placment?
3: GPS Unit: Do you Want to just Use Your Own and Pretend that All Units are the same?
4: Gotta Have An Offical or two. Someones gotta have the Final Say, Preferably A Member Elected by The Zone Members. We Can't Expect The Zone Admin's To be Responsible for EveryThing They Are Working For FREE.
5: The Boat Must Stay In the Picture at ALL Times, From the Time the GPS Is Zeroed Out To the Time you get the Speed Reading.
WeLL ThaTs A sHorT LiSt Just OfF tHe tOp oF mY HeaD,,,LoL.
If You Want to Have A CONTEST or CHALLENGE these are a few things to be Considered,
If you Don't Set Some Good GuideLines It Will Be A Pissin On Each Other Match, and Not A Who Can Piss The Farthest Match,,,LMAO!!
If You Just Want To Be Able to Brag About How Fast Your Going, Just Make A Vid Using Your Own GPS, Put It How You Want It, And Post IT
The Closer You Do Your Vid To Contest Type Guide Lines The Less Chance Of Riticule

Here Was My Run to Get 26cc Hydro Kicked Off In The Speed Challenge,
I ran the boat Totally Stock Except SS270 Prop, Radio, A Major Print Job on the Bottom of the Boat,,,And a Paint Job.
I just Wanted to give a Speed for People to Shoot for.
GPS Placement Is the Main Thing I would Change Personally.
When You watch the Vid, Look On Top of the Cowl You can See A Little Black Patch of Velcro where I Normally put My GPS, I tear a couple strips of Duct tape and go across both ends Just For Safe Measure. I have Wiped Out a Few Times with this boat (GPS On Cowl), Miss A, a few times, My 1\12 Pro Boats Have Dunked More Times Than I Can Remember, ALL with the Very Same GPS Unit, a Garmin ForTrex 101 that was Factory Refurbished and Sold on eBay for I think $50 Bucks (It's been a while sense I bought it) And It Still Works Just Fine(Knock On Wood) and it's sitting in My Track Box Now(not at the Bottom of the pond).

As far as the whole stock & mod debate.....billy thinks my engine is mod because I polished the internals where as I dont. (your the best billy) So with that being said you cant really prove 300+miles away that the engine was stock etc according to that person.

I dont know what you want to do about the GPS issue. I have an Idea where we all pitch in and buy a RTRzone GPS and send it around to the next challenger, but you can only have it for 3 days, or something along the lines of that. Everything else seems to be pretty In-line with what were all asking for. Except the placement. Put me on the ballot for the over-see'r of the videos. 2 people should be good to judge.

Ok I Kinda Thought on this Last Night,,Kinda,,LOL. I know you guys are Just Wanting a Little Friendly Competition, as do I, Some Of You Newer Members That Don't Know Me Will Figure It Out Soon Enough, I Love Showing Vids Of My Boats FLYIN, and I am a Stickler For the Rules, which I'll admit I'll be one of the First Ones To Try an Push The Rules To There Limit's, BUT I Will Stay Within The Limit's Set By the Rules. Or Try Like Hell To Get the Rule Changed,,,LOL.
Now I Hear Y'all Sayin Lets Just throw some rules up, Let People Decide How They Want there GPS, Use What They Got,,,etc... and As I Said Before,,If you Just Want to Brag About Your Speed, Just Make a vid along these same guidelines and post it.
BUT,,,If Your Wanting to Have An Official RTRZone Speed Challenge, It Needs To Be Done RIGHT!!
EveryThing We Do Here at RTRZone is Watched, Examined, Picked Apart and Ridiculed By the Cesspools of the I-Net, Then Copied,,LOL.
So AnyThing We Attach The Zone Name To Needs to Be Done As Well As Possible, Because It's Not Just You That Will Look Bad If It Ain't Done Right. And We Want RTRZone To Shine Like The Bright Shinny Star It Is.
With That All Said,,,If were not Doing Prizes Or Trophy's the Overhead is Basically GPSs & Shipping.
Originally Zone Donations & JAMES (Mostly James) Paid For ALL The Units We Used(ForeTrex 201), We had 1 Unit Per Class with the Class Etched Into the Face of the GPS So You could see on Vid it was the Same Unit In each Attempt. The Person Making the attempt put a deposit down on the GPS in Case Of Damage But Mostly to Insure They Sent it BACK, or So We Could Get a New One If they Didn't. They Had 5 or 7 days to use it then return it back to us so we could download the info on it and make sure People Weren't just riding around in there car to get High Speed Numbers,,LOL,,(you would be amazed what people will do when you put the Words Contest,Competition, Challenge, Prizes etc...)then it was Sent to the Next Person On the List. I'm Not Sure If any Of the Old Speed Challenge Units are still around, But here is a Refurbished 201 for $99+Free Shipping.

| im pretty sure that we all have gps, or can get our hands on one. when we started to tal;k about this their was no talk about renting nothin. im pretty sure im not the only one that has little funds,and can not rent a gps for 60-80 bucks for this. ITS SUPOSED TO BE FOR FUN. this is not like when james did the last one. |

Why dont we do super simple----run what you got must have
Video!!
GPS speed only-- must be seen being placed in(or on) the boat and taken out(or off of) of the boat in the video
and state your top speed how many laps you ran keep it to 3-4 laps
If someone has the nutz to challenge your speed that someone must put up a video doing the same if they have a .32 vegas trying to out run a .18 vegas so be it --if a gas guy tosses up a 60 mph run and a 1/12 proboat hydro guy thinks his is faster than that PROVE IT just have the sack to place a video up showing your results
Kind of a no holds bared speed challenge the cage match of RC boating --so to say lol---
