So I see alot of Vegas' running in the videos without the wing. What is the logic behind it?
Are you shaving some weight, or does it affect aerodynamics in turns, so it's better to have it removed?
Comments please. Just want to understand.

| I figured it wasnt as functional as it should be, not saying its not at all, So I took it off. Ive never ran with mine on so I cant say that it helps or inhibits. There was some theory to it some time back, but thats a whole can of worms that no one has never tested. I wonder if those days when mine would come unglued to the water if a wing, or a functional wing could have prevented it. Who knows. Take yours off and run it, see what happens. |

The only theory I potentially had was due to the wing being adjustable, maybe if pitched up slightly it would provide some lift to the front of the boat. maybe it helps the boat "fly" better in the straights? Keeping it more stable?
The downside to it I see is when the boat flips, chances are the wing is going bye bye.

hey mr twister removed his because it weighs to much so to help keep straight he bolted on
little fins plus they help in reteval check out my vid mr twister on the bench |

I don't think the wing or tails make an impact....wing removed..rocks (no joke) placed in front and left sponson to keep her down...

hey tresspass, does your boat always ride that high out of water? must be a hand full lol!!!!
Back on topic, I don't think on a stock MV that wing or no wing make a difference, now for some of you 50MPH'ers out there, it might help out to not have a wing. |
